On December 28, 1863, Asa S. Dodge (1834-1910) and William O. Parlin (1830-1870) were mustered into the U.S. Army at Augusta, Maine. Their term of service was to be for three years. They served in Co. G, 30th Regiment, Maine Infantry. Asa & William were mustered out August 20, 1865 at Savannah, Georgia, at the end of the Civil War. Below is the record of the service of the Thirtieth Maine Infantry from Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Maine for the Years 1864 & 1865.
